DDS and Ardan Control Tech are providing access control to the Technion Israel Institute of Technology, in Haifa. The Technion is ranked #35 in the “Best Global Universities” listing for Asia (2021) and in the top 100 universities in the world according to the Academic Ranking of World Universities (2019). Three of its faculty members are Nobel Laureates.

Historically, the different faculties of the Technion had independently installed various access control systems, which were incompatible within the new installation. DDS current solution provides a central access control system, based on a multi-site model, while maintaining the independence of each faculty. It keeps the multiple readers in use. It manages the huge amount of information from the individual student programs. The latest is achieved through an intermediary layer that reads the SAP and was specially developed by Ardan for the occasion.

The Technion security project includes about 100 buildings, representing close to 2000 doors to be secured. Access is to be granted to some 30000 students, teachers, administrative staff and other workers.
