DDS has faced the challenge to integrate the new generation of smart lifts, in which the control panel is located outside the lifts. The integration has been completed for the Thyssen lifts.

In this integration, a badgeholder swipes a badge at the reader that is integrated into the lift destination selector, located outside of the lifts. The user  chooses a destination from the displayed list of authorized floors, received from Amadeus 5. The lift destination selector sends the closest lift available, directs the user towards it and sets the lift in motion to the final destination – without need for the user to press any other button.
This integration with smart lifts is operational in a 10-floor office building in the center of Paris. The site is equipped with five lifts from the Thyssen company. There are 20 Thyssen destination selectors equipped with badge readers, two on each floor.
