DDS Integration with Selea LPR / ANPR

Amadeus 5 and Amadeus 8 are compatible with the LPR/ANPR cameras of Selea.

Amadeus 5 and Amadeus 8 have an LPR module (License Plate Recognition), also known as ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition). Amadeus 5 and Amadeus 8 treat the vehicle’s license plate number as an additional Badge. The plate numbers are downloaded to the DDS controllers as Wiegand codes. When a car is detected at an access point, an ANPR camera reads the plate number and converts it to a Wiegand code. This code is then sent, via the camera’s Wiegand output interface, to the relevant DDS controller. The camera acts like a standard Wiegand reader and the controller handles the plate number like a badge. If the Wiegand code is known by the controller and if the corresponding cardholder has the necessary permissions, a door relay orders the barrier to open. Amadeus5 and Amadeus 8 treat the corresponding event as a regular access transaction.

The Wiegand code is the result of an internal calculation made by both the camera and Amadeus 5. Amadeus 5 LPR module supports the “Wiegand 26bit SHA-1” protocol which is a well-known algorithm supported by several camera models of the market. Our LPR module works with any camera that sends an output signal in “Wiegand 26bit SHA-1” format.
